Creating effective homework assignments is a challenging task, particularly in subjects in which students require repeated, frequent practice to master requisite techniques. Furthermore, giving students timely feedback is essential to helping students learn, but poses difficulties for instructors in courses with large enrollments and frequent homework assignments. Blake will discuss how the use of web-based homework in calculus courses has provided a solution for such challenges.
