In the plenary session, the speakers will reflect on what can be gained through collaboration by faculty who are conducting research on learning and memory with faculty who are developing, and empirically investigating, effective teaching methods that improve student learning. The three speakers are part of a faculty group that meets weekly to discuss teaching and learning. During the plenary, they will describe the differences among their own approaches to teaching and learning, and how those approaches have benefitted from the group’s weekly discussions. They will also provide examples of collaborative projects that are contributing to improvements in teaching and learning at Washington University.
