Luna Imaging's Insight software was recently acquired by Olin Library as a solution to the problem of how to provide access to digital images and presentation tools in a seamless environment. This session will introduce the Luna Insight software, a revolutionary digital image management system which allows for seamless image searching, web page production and includes sophisticated presentation tools designed for people who use images. We will explore Luna Insight's functionality, the current digital image collections that can be accessed through Insight, and what imaging standards and practices should be followed when creating collections for use within InSight.
Attendees will take with them an introductory knowledge of Luna's Insight Software, an understanding of what collections in Insight are already or will soon be available for use, and steps they need to follow to prepare their own collections for use within Insight.

Intended audience: any faculty member
Prerequisites: Attendees should bring an interest in using digital images of all kinds in teaching and research settings.
