About ITeach

ITeach provides opportunities for Washington University faculty from across the disciplines to share ideas and insights on teaching and technology. At the biannual ITeach symposium, faculty members can explore new and effective ways to promote active student learning. They can stay informed about current teaching projects and campus events by reading the ITeach newsletter, Teaching and Technology, and by browsing this Web site, which features symposia materials, current and past issues of the newsletter, and an updated list of resources for teaching and technology.

ITeach is a collaborative project coordinated by the Washington University Teaching and Technology Partnership, which brings together The Teaching Center, Arts & Sciences, and Washington University Libraries. The project began in 2002 as a part of the University’s effort to improve undergraduate teaching and learning by promoting discourse among faculty about new and effective methods of teaching, including teaching with technology. The Teaching and Technology Partnership provides on-going support for faculty regarding how to integrate technologies into teaching methods in a manner appropriate for specific disciplines and learning enviroments.

The ITeach Planning Committee consists of Gina Frey and Liz Peterson (The Teaching Center), Kathy Atnip (Arts & Sciences), and Judy Fox (Washington University Libraries). Administrative support, event planning, and coordination efforts are provided by Charmaine Scott and Ruth Lewis (Washington University Libraries) and Viani Dickey (The Teaching Center). Technical support is provided by Mike Floyd and Alan Wieter (The Teaching Center) and by the Arts & Sciences Computing staff.
