WebREC is The Career Center’s online recommendation file system that allows students and alumni to manage their recommendation files for graduate school and/or professional opportunities. WebREC:

·         is available 24/7 to students, alumni, and faculty

·         requires student or faculty ID and PIN for secure access

·         shows students the status of their recommendation requests

·         makes it easy for faculty to upload and view recommendations

·         scans and stores printed copy recommendations so that they can be viewed by faculty

·         processes students’ requests to have recommendation files mailed

·         prepares a mailing packet that includes a cover sheet and recommendations printed in color

You can streamline the process of submitting your recommendations for students by using WebREC’s upload process.  After writing and saving your recommendation letter to a file, logon to WebREC and upload the file to the student’s WebREC account; you will be able to view the letter at any time on WebREC.

Uploaded letters are printed as received; therefore, you may want to consider using electronic letterhead with an electronic version of your signature as a template to create your recommendations.

Note:  As always, students are not allowed to view the contents of confidential recommendations.
