ITeach symposium, January 2006 wrap-up

The 2006 ITeach symposium was held on January 12, 2006 in Eads Hall and Holmes Lounge. This one-day event, subtitled Designing and Refining our Teaching was third in a series of bi-annual symposia sponsored by Olin Library, The Teaching Center and Arts & Sciences.

Nearly 150 faculty and instructors attended the 2006 symposium, representing nearly all schools at Washington University in St. Louis. The event offered presentations by WU faculty and staff; among the most highly rated by attendees included sessions on Telesis, electronic images in the classroom, student peer editing and personal response systems in the classroom (“clickers.”) Overall, attendees rated the symposium 3.9 on a scale of 1-5, 5 being excellent.

Session materials for the 2006 symposium are available on the ITeach website. The next ITeach symposium is planned for January 2008.
