Q: In order to access the internet from my laptop in the classrooms, I followed the directions to register my laptop at https://ns2.wustl.edu/user-dhcp.html. However, I still cannot access the internet in the classrooms. What's wrong?
A: 1) When registering your laptop, make sure that you enter the correct MAC address. Some laptops that are equipped with integrated wireless capability (or a wireless card) have two MAC Addresses. You will need to enter your laptop’s MAC address for the Ethernet Address Local Area Connection, not the MAC address for the Wireless Network Connection. To learn how to find your laptop’s MAC address, follow the directions provided at https://ns2.wustl.edu/user-dhcp.html
