Call for Proposals: Faculty Presentations at ITeach 2008

Excellence in teaching is rarely achieved in isolation. Share your insights and approaches with colleagues from across the University at the ITeach symposium on January 10, 2008. Presenting at ITeach is a wonderful way to participate in scholarly conversation about effective ways to improve student learning and about what works, and what doesn’t, in the classroom.

Please send a one-paragraph proposal outlining your topic to Liz Peterson ( liz@wustl.edu ) by April 16, 2007. The ITeach planning committee will consider proposals on all topics related to teaching and teaching with technology, including the following:

  • The impact of technology on student learning
  • Assessments of teaching strategies and methods, including but not limited to those that utilize technology
  • Strategies for improving student writing
  • Innovative ways of fostering collaboration and effective group work among students
  • Strategies for encouraging and measuring active learning
