ITeach 2008 Recap

On January 10, 2008, approximately 150 faculty, staff, and graduate students from across Washington University convened for the fourth biannual ITeach symposium on teaching and technology. The symposium featured 16 sessions led by faculty and staff, as well as a plenary address by Randy Bass, Executive Director of Georgetown University’s Center for New Designs in Learning and Scholarship. Sessions covered a breadth of topics, from “Creating an Effective Lecture” to “Promoting Active Learning Using Tablet PCs.” ITeach participants gathered for informal exchanges of teaching ideas during breakfast, lunch, and a closing reception.
